Continue in Patience

After watching this video I was amazed at how profound Elder Uchtdorf's message was about the ability to wait... even it is as simple as getting an extra marshmallow.
I was noticing how we could then internalize this as we look at our own lives and use the marshmallow experiment and apply it to different situations in our lives.
One quote that stuck out to me was " God's promises are not always fulfilled as quickly or in the way we might hope."
I think sometimes we are too eager to wait as most children did and eat the marshmallow right away. I think in time if we are to wait for the second marshmallow or
have patience during those difficult times that we can then receive the answers we are in need of.

What kind of Marshmallow Eater are you??

I love to watch the videos on lds.org! They are always so uplifting and spiritual.

After watching this video... I

Accidents happen...

On Thursday night Cayden was playing and took a plastic box lid and tried to walk across it from the couch to the coffee table. End result... he slipped and smacked his mouth against the table really hard!
Later that night at the after hours care ... he was a very brave little guy! He didn't cry and layed really still. Their wasn't much they could do except refer us to a dentist. Friday morning the dentist told us that he would need to have surgery and that he needed the top 3 teeth removed and that he had broken his maxilla bone.
Later in the day he spent the moments before surgery cuddling in mommy's lap. He got some coloring pages and crayons ..but was more interested in his hot wheel stickers. He was very tired before surgery as it was right during his nap time.
When he woke up Daddy and Uncle Nate came with mommy to see him when he woke up.. It took him awhile to wake up and was very sleepy.. After meeting with a funny pediatrician named Matt... Cayden was going to be fine after giving him some more IV fluids.. he was released later that night from the hospital.. and today has been up and playing and talking ... a few occasional pain set backs.. but seems to be his cheerful self.
We are are sure glad he is going to be ok and so proud of him for being so brave!! We are also grateful for all the family that was able to help!!
I will have pics as soon as I figure out how to get them off my phone!!
