School Days Ahead

Bring on the new School Year! Kids were excited for another year of school.

Yay! for 2017-2018

A new school year has begun along with new challenges and goals to reach for. The older boys are learning better use of their time and that work does not come easy. They enjoy the different classes this year. The younger two are enjoying elementary school and all the fun that it brings.

Chase is now in early morning Seminary (Early Bible Study) and is learning the scriptures in more depth this year. He is working this year to having positive grades and has shown it so far through his hard work and good studying habits.

Brandon is a teacher's aide this year and is enjoying helping out behind the scenes. He is also realizing studying isn't always easy. As long as he can put forth the effort he can accomplish anything.

Cayden is focusing on staying on task and being responsible this year. He also loves to help his little sister practice for her spelling tests and enjoys reading new books.

Callie is enjoying new friends at school she loves her teacher's and the great attitude they have for learning. She also is working hard to complete her assignments and her efforts show it.

An Eclipse To Remember!

On Monday, August 21, 2017, the total eclipse happened. We didn't drive to Idaho to see the full Totality. It was still amazing to see the eclipse from where we lived. We saw a few video's online as it passed other states.

The kids were excited to try our shoe box viewer.

Neighbors and friends came outside to also witness the awesome event.

A friend of ours was gracious to let us see the eclipse with a pair of solar glasses.

It was a really cool experience!

The kids saw tiny eclipses as they watched the shadows dance on the ground.

Fun in the Sun

Summer time seems shorter every year. Or is it the older we get time goes by quicker?

This summer was a bit more relaxed. Summer was spent relaxing and enjoying the time together as a family. It was really great to see the newest cousin. As well as catching up with cousins we haven't seen for a while.

The boys enjoyed summer scout backpacking trips and a short father and son outing. We also are enjoying the newest pet to our family a baby Leopard Gecko named Hope. The kids were excited to end the summer with a fun work party at the swim park. They had a blast!!

Martin also won an award for work.
